چکیده
Prior to embarking on a laboratory and subsequently pilot test for potential improved oil recovery scheme in green or brown field, it is important have sense of gains from the available options. This usually done using correlations. Whereas there had been existing models use making these approximations [1], this work has developed robust correlation estimating reduction residual saturation post OPTSWF (and consequently additional recovery) as function change IFT, salinity, porosity, permeability, start saturation, API gravity crude oil. was field Niger Delta. The model tested against data showed good with coefficient ranging 99.36% 99.89%. Also, performance alongside that proposed by [1] all cases, performed better lower RMS errors.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Zeta potential in oil-water-carbonate systems and its impact on oil recovery during controlled salinity water-flooding
Laboratory experiments and field trials have shown that oil recovery from carbonate reservoirs can be increased by modifying the brine composition injected during recovery in a process termed controlled salinity water-flooding (CSW). However, CSW remains poorly understood and there is no method to predict the optimum CSW composition. This work demonstrates for the first time that improved oil r...
متن کاملRESEARCH ON CO2 FLOODING FOR IMPROVED OIL RECOVERY IN WATER FLOODING ABANDONED RESERVOIRS
CO2 injection is an effective technique for improved oil recovery in light oil reservoirs, especially for water flooding abandoned reservoirs. In this study, the lower part of Es1 reservoirs in Pucheng oilfield was introduced as the target reservoir. By studying the minimum miscible pressure in CO2 flooding, the reservoir could achieve miscible flooding. Long core displacement experiments prove...
متن کاملCORE FLOOD STUDIES TO EVALUATE EFFICIENCY OF OIL RECOVERY BY LOW SALINITY WATER FLOODING AS A SECONDARY RECOVERY PROCESS
Various researches on laboratory and field scale illustrate that manipulating the ionic composition and the ion concentration of injected water can affect the efficiency of water flooding and the interaction of injected water with rock and other fluids present in porous media. The objectives of this paper are to investigate parameters that affect low salinity water flooding; mainly the effect o...
متن کاملAn Experimental Study of CO2-low Salinity Water Alternating Gas Injection in Sandstone Heavy Oil Reservoirs
Several studies have shown that oil recovery significantly increased by low salinity water flooding (LSWF) in sandstones. However, mechanism of oil recovery improvement is still controversial. CO2 that develops buffer in presence of water is expected as a deterrent factor in LSWF efficiency based on mechanism of IFT reduction due to pH uprising. No bright evidence in literature suppo...
